Barefoot and Pregnant in the Kitchen..........
yep, thats me. i think its every feminists worst nightmare- but i love it. steve's the one who pointed it out the other night as i was cooking dinner. "barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen- and i love it" he said. me too :) but maybe the barefoot part is why my feet are hurting so bad...
the baby's kicks are getting a lot stronger. to the point where sometimes i think that i can feel them on the outside as well (but i can't). there will be times when i'm just resting that i want to feel baby kick, and then nothing. its usually at night when i'm in bed and reading. and after a little while. i guess i need to get used to the fact that baby is going to kick when baby wants! i know that this will be an overall theme in baby's life- and i'm gonna have to get used to it!!!!
the baby's kicks are also really interesting to me- what is the baby doing? it is on purpose? is baby practicing for some martial arts tournament? or is it just a reflex? most newborn babies that I'VE met, aren't very active. so i'm kinda confused on why baby is boppin around so much. seriously, sometime i feel sommersaults (sp?). i'm gonna ask my doctor on saturday, but if anyone out there knows- feel free to fill me in!!!!
brings me to my last point- my doctors appointment. my 5 month appointment- wowza, that went fast!!!! but this is the appointment where i get to see baby in the ultrascan. i'm sooooooooooo freakin excited (but remember- we aren't finding out the sex!) but a little nervous too. i just want everything to be good and have a healthy baby. and make sure that baby doesnt' have 10 noses and 5 arms or something........ i haven't had any of those nightmares i read are common in pregnancy about having deformed babies. but i still worry. but mostly- i 'm really excited!!!! so next week, not only will you get to see my growing budda belly 5 month pics, you'll also get to see baby!!!!
i know I'M excited
stay tuned...........

wow time is flying by!!!!
I'm excited to hear about it and see the pics!
We just learned about fetal movment in nursing school, in the begining its kinda like the baby stretching their arms and legs...and then later in the pregnancy you will be able to tell the difference in kicking and punching and rolling. Some people say if they eat spicy foods, it causes the baby to be more active, or if your in a position they dont like they may move a lot too to get comfy. Just think of it as a good sign! :o)
YAY!!! barefoot and pregnant. its all good. and its like the only time in married life, that one can get totally pampered and have everything done for them!!
that is so exciting that you'll be seeing baby. its amazing what they can tell from the u-sound.
oh and the babe is just testing out their new limbs.. and yes the do somersaults. and karate chops.!!
