starting to get the hang of it.........

so she's only 3 weeks, but i already feel like she's been here forever. i can't imagine life with out her now! and i think she's getting big (she's already 9 1/2 pounds!!! and outgrowing some of her outfits!) but then i have a 3 month old baby who comes 2 times a week- and she looks so teeny tiny compared to him! so yes, i'm trying to cherish all the moments i have with her now as this teeny tiny dependent little beautiful girl. breastfeeding is getting easier, of course i say that now as i think i'm getting a clogged milk duct. but we're both starting to get the hang of it, and i understand why she does what she does, etc. steve went back to work on friday. i was sad, but i managed. it wasn't horrible, but i did do more work than i have been doing (which may be why i have a clogged milk duct- doing too much too soon). i'm going to really cry when my parents leave. a few more weeks. hopefully by then jessica will have some what of a schedule. and we'll be eating lots of easy pastas and take out for dinner! we've been working on thank yous- i still haven't gotten them out from my shower! i was just too exhausted when i was pregnant. of course now i don't have time to write them, so steve has been helping- when i'm feeding jessica i just dictate the thank yous to steve! so if you get a thank you from us and its not in my handwriting, you'll know its my hubby helping out :) i also must give a shout out to jessica's three uncles. she has no aunts, just uncles- and they are all so excited to have her here. its actually really sweet and cute to see how excited they are! she's met steve's brother, uncle andrew, and she'll meet my brothers, uncles chris (who is also going to be her godfather) and greg this summer in iowa. she's a lucky girl!!!!!

oh- one thing. so i guess i got cocky when i lost weight for my wedding a few years ago- and threw away/gave away all my "fat jeans." um yeah, what was i thinking was going to happen after i had a baby? i miraculosly be back in to my jeans 3 weeks after the baby was born??? not smart. kicking myself for it now. so yeah, stuck wearing my sweats for awhile..........
