Water Baby................. part 2

Seriously, Could this girl look happier and more relax?

Yeah, she's loving the water :) Had her last swim lesson of the summer today. Sad, we have to find a pool to take her too soon cause she loves it so much! The water was freezing this morning, but she didn't mind a bit. Its been cool to see her "grow" in her swimming-ish abilities. She can now walk around in the water (on the stairs), when the first day she was scared to leave my side. Working on blowing bubbles. Doesn't mind getting her face wet. Yep, I think shes gonna be in the water a lot...............

We've got ourselves a Beach Baby

We had so much fun visiting our friends Bob and Arleen in Manhattan Beach. It was the first "Beach Day" we've really had with Jessica. She LOVED it! I think she may be a surfer like her daddy..............

At 18 Months:

Jessica has started potty training!!!!!
She is running
Talking up a storm (I tried counting but there are too many words!)
Has almost 10 complete teeth, a few more are near by (the latest few decided to pop up when we started potty training- a fun week)
Sleeps from 7pm to 7am ish on most nights
Takes one 1 1/2- 3 hour nap a day
Loves to take showers with mommy
Learned how to say "NO", the same week as potty training started. Like I said, a fun week...
Now loves to say "No more" in different voices, about everything
Loves loves loves shoes
Is now obsessed with Elmo, along with Dora, since being introduced to the Elmo Potty Training video
Loves to "dance"
Is starting to really stretch out, no more cute baby tubbers :(
Has blondey blonde white hair, that can fit into two piggies and almost all in to one!
Wears 2T clothes, and size 5 or 6 shoes
Weighs almost 30 lbs- and is starting to kill mommy's back when she has to be carried everywhere
Still eats pretty much everything, but does have her toddler picky eater moments
Is still a biter, but only to the kids that are too slow to pull away their arm as she announces to them "Bite" and mommy or someone is sprinting across the room yelling "Jessica, No biting!!! Teeth are for SMILING!"
Loves to have books read to her, but she has to pick them out, and she has to bring one to bed with her at night as well
She is a toddler now through and through, and we're loving every second (except those that involve the potty training.............)

Potty Training...............
It has begun

Has it ever! Steve and I have the sore backs and looks of exhaustion to prove it. Started on Monday, and its actually going ok. We're seeing lots of improvement. We still have work to do, but I bet we'll be fully potty trained by the time Daddy goes back to work (which is why we started in the summer- so that Daddy can help!). And even though I do this for a living- I must stress how much harder it is when its your own! Luckily I can just throw all her clothes into the washing machine and take care of it that way. Nice.

Just had to share some cute pictures of her in her "BIG girl" Dora underwear. How cute are they?

And i have to share the picture of Jessica sitting on the potty, reading her book. Cracks me up!

I can't believe she's already such a big girl. We got her Big Girl bed also, just have to put it together. It is bittersweet- I love this little girl she's becoming, such a personality and so funny and sweet (and stubborn!). But I do miss the baby parts, too :( Her 18th month bday is coming up next week!!!
