Having a newborn is a lot of work!!!!!

but defiently worth it. breastfeeding has been soooooooooooo hard. makes natural labor a piece of cake. seriously. her tounge was tied, so she couldnt' get a proper latch- and that meant extrememly painful nursing! my nipples were cracked and bleeding by day 2. not good. we got the skin under the tounge clipped (really simple, common procedure) but its still been hard. very hard. its crazy all the little contraptions and tools they have for breastfeeding. but she sleeps really well at night :) tomorrow she has a doctor appointment, and if she's back to birth weight (which i'm pretty sure she's past by the way she's eating!) i can let her sleep through the night! woo hoo!!!! but anyways, its been overwhelming at times, but so amazing. i'm trying to cherish every moment i have with her. i love watching her when she sleeps, or when she's alert and checking everything out. its horrible when she cries- its the worst thing in the world to hear your own baby crying and there is nothing you can do about it (i think she may have reflux, or colic. i can tell her tummy bothers her. so sad!) but its been so amazing and awesome. i love watching steve with her- you really do fall in love all over again. but like i said- busy busy! so who knows how often i'll post just wanted to put up a few pictures, out of the thousands we've been taking!!!!!

just 3 days old......... her with Ruffy Jr. we'll take pictures each month. look how tiny she is compared to it! (oh, and we already lost that bow!)
her little frantic froggy eyes. soooooo cute. i love this face. this picture just cracks me up
she really does look like a little angel in this picture
and yes- she is goign to be a girly girl darnit! at least until she's old enough to say she's not. i love all the pink and the bows :)

Happy Valentines Day!!!

This has defiently been a day full of lots of kisses and hugs and tons of love!!!! Most of them involving the new love in my life, Jessica.
Its been an amazing 6 days, I can't even begin to explain. Full of ups and downs, but so special and I'm cherishing every single moment.
I have taken MILLIONS of pictures, of course, but they are all still on the camera. Its amazing how busy I am, when all I'm doing is taking care of a baby who just sleeps and eats all day! (I have needed to recover a bit as well) So anyways, thought I would let you guys check out Jessica's first photo shoot, taken at the hospital. Um, I think we may have a bit of a diva on her hands- already posing at 2 days old!
Check them out here
I'll try to get my birth story on here somewhat soon, but don't be surprised if you don't hear from me for a while!
Thank you for all the well wishes, hope everyone had a fabulous Valentines day filled with as much Love as mine was!!!!

i've been sitting waiting wishing...............

yep, the words of jack johnson, so so true. today is Baby's due date. but of course, my baby doesn't want to be a part of the 5% of babies that actually arrives on their due date. got a lot of phone calls and emails today checkin in on me. i feel like i'm the only person who's gone to their due date or something! (even though i know this isn't true).
so anyways, here's an update
feeling very pms-y today. apparently this is "prelabor." great. so when will real labor start? no one can tell me that. tomorrow evening i have a doctor appointment, and i'm going to get my membranes swept or stripped. basically, the doctor will use his fingers to "swept" my bags of water off of the uterine lining. if baby is ready, then labor should start in 12 - 24 hours. not supposed to be comfortable, but is any part of pregnancy or labor? i'm hoping i go into labor tonight, otherwise i REALLY hope that the dr visit goes well. because i really really really really really don't want to get induced!!!!!
anyways, so thats where i am. and i'm HUGE. and today was our valentines day party, so i was running around. yeah, excercise hasn't seemed to induce labor for me. i think Baby may be stubborn.......
and dont' worry, steve will be emailing you all when baby has arrived!!!!

any day now...........

its seriously getting comical now. how huge i am, how pregnant i am, how many times a day i'm asked- "anything yet?" yeah. pretty much wear only steve's shirts. all my maternity shirts- including the ones i once laughed at thinking maybe i'd fit into them in my last weeks- are now too small. so i'm wearing steve's shirts and my fabulous, trustworthy juicy sweat pants. and looking super sexy too. the belt is an everyday accesory, under steve's tshirts and above these target maternity tank top that i had my mom pick up a few for me so that i can wear the belt with out it rubbing against my skin (NOT comfy).
my whole body is exhausted. and achy. i always have to pee. i can't get up with out help, or if i'm on the ground i have to get up like a toddler- using both hands to push my butt up in the air first. i now know why everyone has said- "those last weeks are the worst!" and i'm jealous of anyone that delivered in week 38. 40 weeks for me is next tuesday. come on baby!!!!!
and yeah, i'm still working. luckily not as hard core as i had been, because my new assistant started this week and has been FABULOUS. so nice to no longer have to stress about that. but i still am working. and i'm tired. all the time. its crazy. and i know that i'm going to be tired when the baby is here- but thats because i'll have a newborn baby to take care of! right now i should be sleeping and relaxing and yeah, just doens't happen...........
anyways, didn't want to complain on this post. just updating everyone on how huge and pregnant i am. i'll try to post some picture we took the other night of the diaper bag my mom made for me (so cute!) and i'm all sexy huge in it.
other than that, my dr. was much nicer last appointment. he said the baby's head was nice and low, so baby was on its way! still losing parts of the mucus plug (and yes, that is as gross as it sounds). i also had my first labor anything the other day. i felt all back crampy and sick, for a couple hours. but it stopped when i ate. my nurse told me it was probably prelabor. woo hoo!
i have some tricks up my sleaves to try this weekend to get baby coming. and since the chargers aren't in the superbowl, we don't have to worry about avoiding sunday. so come on baby!!!!!!
