Having a newborn is a lot of work!!!!!
but defiently worth it. breastfeeding has been soooooooooooo hard. makes natural labor a piece of cake. seriously. her tounge was tied, so she couldnt' get a proper latch- and that meant extrememly painful nursing! my nipples were cracked and bleeding by day 2. not good. we got the skin under the tounge clipped (really simple, common procedure) but its still been hard. very hard. its crazy all the little contraptions and tools they have for breastfeeding. but she sleeps really well at night :) tomorrow she has a doctor appointment, and if she's back to birth weight (which i'm pretty sure she's past by the way she's eating!) i can let her sleep through the night! woo hoo!!!! but anyways, its been overwhelming at times, but so amazing. i'm trying to cherish every moment i have with her. i love watching her when she sleeps, or when she's alert and checking everything out. its horrible when she cries- its the worst thing in the world to hear your own baby crying and there is nothing you can do about it (i think she may have reflux, or colic. i can tell her tummy bothers her. so sad!) but its been so amazing and awesome. i love watching steve with her- you really do fall in love all over again. but like i said- busy busy! so who knows how often i'll post just wanted to put up a few pictures, out of the thousands we've been taking!!!!!
just 3 days old......... her with Ruffy Jr. we'll take pictures each month. look how tiny she is compared to it! (oh, and we already lost that bow!)
her little frantic froggy eyes. soooooo cute. i love this face. this picture just cracks me up
she really does look like a little angel in this picture
and yes- she is goign to be a girly girl darnit! at least until she's old enough to say she's not. i love all the pink and the bows :)
